Sahar Dandan

Change Makers

Sahar Dandan is a Chemical Engineer by profession, but spends her days as an “accidental community worker” within the Australian Muslim community. Sahar is the Program Director for the Lebanese Muslim Association in South Western Sydney and works on bettering the lives of as many members of the community as possible.

Through her community work within the Muslim community in Australia, Sahar is actively helping to curb the cycle of intergenerational angst and genetic trauma that comes all too easily to those who have fled war zones and experienced traumatic conflict in their lives.

Sahar has initiated many programs and projects to further foster cohesion and harmony within the community and actively campaigns for those who remain to be amongst the most marginalised members of the community.
