Kelly Izdihar Crosby is a mixed media artist, freelance writer and arts administrator. Her personal motto is taken from the Prophet Muhammad (saws). “God is beautiful and loves beauty.” With her intense love of color, she has created captivating works of art in the genres of abstraction, modern Islamic art and craftwork.
Kelly Izdihar has displayed her work in art shows and venues in her home town of New Orleans and Atlanta. She’s also shown her work throughout the Southern United States, California, Ohio and Canada. Between 2008 and 2011, while living overseas in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, she displayed her work with DUCTAC (Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre) and the Bastakiya Arts Festival.
Kelly’s work is featured in private collections in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. She has moderated an online group of international Muslim artists called the Islamic Artists Society from 2005-2011 and was the celebrated writer of the award-winning Izzy Mo blog. She is a contributing writer for the Halal Consumer and an editorial assistant for Azizah Magazine.
